Speed and Sharpness Designed for APS-C-format cameras, offering a 22.5mm-equivalent focal length. Ultra-wide field of view paired with a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture for low-light shooting and depth-of-field control. FLD and SLD glass elements reduce chromatic aberrations and deliver high color accuracy. Three double-sided aspherical elements control distortion and spherical aberrations while reducing overall lens size and weight. Edge-to-edge sharpness with minimized sagittal coma flare, even when shooting wide open. Excellent control of lens flare and surface reflections in bright, high-contrast environments. Rounded 9-blade diaphragm produces smooth, pleasing bokeh. Compact Creativity 30% shorter and 50% lighter than the 16mm f/1.4 DC Contemporary — measures 2.6" long and weighs approximately 8 oz. Compact, lightweight, and well-balanced design ideal for gimbals, vlogging, and handheld shooting. Stepping motor provides quick, quiet, and accurate autofocus with well-controlled focus breathing. Durable Design and Handling Dust- and splash-resistant construction for outdoor and inclement conditions. Water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element for easier cleaning. Manual aperture ring with “A” position for camera-controlled aperture. Petal-shaped lens hood included to reduce flare and protect the front element.
