PROCAM RENTAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

This is a summary of our rental policies and procedures. A complete rental agreement can be found on our rental contract.

 

AVAILABILITY, RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATIONS

A deposit of 100% of the rental fee is required to confirm any reservation. Deposits can be secured through American Express, Discover, Visa, MasterCard, or Cash. To reserve equipment stop into our store or call us at (734) 838-6900. Availability is not guaranteed. Reserve rentals as far as advance as possible. All rental reservation fees are non-refundable.

Please reserve your equipment well in advance to ensure availability. If an item you need does not appear on our rental list, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our equipment is always available for examination and testing before acceptance of the rental.

All prices listed are daily list rates and subject to change at any time. Long-term rates are available and must be discussed and confirmed with the rental department.

 

SECURITY DEPOSITS

Renter accepts full liability for any loss, damage or cost of repair on all rented equipment.

 

A security deposit (usually an authorization on a credit card) for the full replacement value of the equipment is required.

We understand it can be inconvenient or in some cases not feasible to put down a large deposit. We evaluate every order and do reserve the right to ask for a security deposit if we feel it's necessary.

All rentals require a clear photocopy of the front and back of a valid driver's license and credit card.

 

Debit Card Notice: Debit cards work differently than credit cards. When an authorization hold is placed on a debit card, the system actually withdraws the money needed for the hold and places it in a special intermediate account, but it is not transferred to us. Once the order returned, we "void" the authorization hold and the funds are transferred from the intermediate account back into yours.

 

INSURANCE

Insurance coverage for all equipment is the responsibility of renter while in possession of renter.

 

*Optional Damage Waiver

Unintentional damage to an item is covered under this optional waiver. There is a deductable of 10% of the replacement cost of the item.
(Example: If the replacement cost of the item is $500, the customer is responsible for the first $50 of repair or replacement costs.)

If you do not purchase insurance, you will be responsible for 100% of the cost to repair, or a replacement item.

Note: This waiver does not cover loss or theft. The equipment must be returned. Your renter's, homeowner's , or photographer's insurance policies might cover theft - please check with your insurance agent first.

 

*Your Own Insurance

A Certificate of Insurance naming PROCAM as the Loss Payee can be used on all rental items with a replacement value of 100% of the equipment value. | Read our insurance certificate requiements.

 

LATE RETURNS

Equipment will be billed at the full rental term rate until returned.

 

CONSUMABLES, LAMPS AND FLASH TUBES

Spare lamps and flash tubes may be provided on lighting rentals. There will be a charge for these spares if lamps or tubes are not returned, or returned broken.

 

INSURANCE CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS

When renting any equipment from PROCAM, an insurance certificate must be provided. We have outlined below the specific requirements that must be met to insure full coverage.
