Store Manager / Assistant Manager Positions
As part of the management team at PROCAM Ann Arbor, you’ll help lead a full-line camera and photo specialty store, focusing on both an excellent customer experience and strong sales performance. You’ll work hands-on with customers and gear every day while also overseeing the people, processes, and presentation that keep the store running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example on the sales floor, actively engaging customers, asking the right questions, and matching solutions to their photo and video needs.
- Coach, train, and motivate the sales team to build product knowledge, improve selling skills, and deliver consistent, friendly service.
- Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, scheduling, and basic reporting.
- Maintain merchandising standards: ensure displays are clean, organized, correctly labeled, and visually appealing.
- Help manage inventory accuracy through receiving, cycle counts, transfers, and loss-prevention best practices.
- Resolve customer issues with professionalism and a focus on long-term relationships and repeat business.
- Support store events and vendor demos to help grow the local community.
Qualifications
- Previous retail management or keyholder experience (specialty or big-box retail; cameras, electronics, or similar a plus).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to give clear direction, hold team members accountable, and keep morale positive.
- Comfortable working with POS systems, basic reports, and common office software.
- Solid understanding of photography or video gear, or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
- Organized, dependable, and able to juggle multiple tasks during busy periods.
- Full-time availability, including weekends and some holidays, as part of a rotating schedule.

Used Gear & Online Listings Specialist
We're looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual to help manage our used gear pipeline. From intake and inspection to writing descriptions and taking photos for online listings. This is a great fit for a photography enthusiast who loves the gear side of the hobby and wants to put that knowledge to work.
What You'll Do
- Inspect, test, and grade used cameras, lenses, and accessories
- Research comparable sold listings to price items competitively
- Write accurate, detailed, and compelling product descriptions for eBay and our website
- Photograph gear against clean backgrounds with consistent, professional lighting
- Create and manage eBay listings (titles, descriptions, pricing, shipping details)
What We're Looking For
- Genuine knowledge of cameras and photography equipment (brands, models, specs, common issues)
- Experience selling on eBay and understanding of best practices
- Strong writing skills with clear, honest, and thorough descriptions
- Attention to detail and accuracy when grading condition
- Comfortable using computer tools and inventory software
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
Bonus Points
- Experience with eBay
- Background in retail or e-commerce
- Knowledge of film cameras, vintage lenses, or video gear
