HARMAN SWITCH AZURE is the latest creative offering in a growing range of HARMAN colour films. Through SWITCH AZURE, photographers will be invited to flip the familiar on its head and turn the everyday into something strange.
As the colours switch, ordinary scenes become unexpectedly extraordinary as pink and orange skies meet cyan bananas and blue strawberries.
- Blue light is recorded in the red channel
- Green light is recorded in the green channel
- Red light is recorded in the blue channel
“By ‘switching’ two of the three colour couplers around, this creates a differing contrast response to the individual channels which can render blues as orange, yellows as a vibrant azure and reds as hues of purple/blue”.
What to expect…
Pink and orange sky, blue brickwork, strange coloured fruits, e.g. cyan bananas, blue tomatoes and strawberries, blue skin tones.
Common objects like post boxes, signs, buildings and vehicles are transformed, and in the natural world flowers, trees, landscapes and wildlife become strange and unfamiliar.
Sunsets become inverted with cool blues and purples.
HARMAN Switch Azure film is processed in the standard C41 colour negative film process. This film can be processed alongside all makes of colour negative film.
