Sony ECM-S1 Wireless Streaming Microphone System with Multi Interface Shoe
Record your podcast, livestream, or other forms of content creation with your Sony camera, computer, or smartphone using this Sony ECM-S1 Wireless Streaming Microphone System thanks to its multiple wired and wireless audio outputs. The microphone transmits audio to an included dual-channel receiver via Bluetooth 5.3 technology to your Sony camera's MI shoe for stable digital audio. A stand with non-slip base and a 1/4"-20 thread at the base of the device allow you to attach the microphone to a boompole or simply place it on your desk. If wireless capture doesn't suit your gear configuration, use the USB-C or 3.5mm TRS ports on the receiver or the USB-C port on the microphone to record directly to your laptop, smartphone, or other camera brands.
Streaming Microphone with Selectable Pickup Patterns
Toggle between three capture modes using an onboard switch on the microphone. Monoaural unidirectional is best for narration, voiceover, and podcasting applications. Omnidirectional allows for multiple subjects or a room's atmosphere to be captured. Stereo unidirectional is suitable for music recording. An included pop filter reduces plosives when the speaker's mouth is close to the microphone.
Multi Interface Shoe
Use the receiver's integrated Multi Interface Shoe for cable-free connection to your compatible Sony camera. The camera body can supply power to the receiver when attached. Audio is transmitted via direct digital signal for high-quality sound free of transmission deterioration.
Various Wired Connections
USB-C digital audio outputs on both the receiver and microphone support 48 kHz 24-bit audio recording to your compatible PC or smartphone.
A 3.5mm TRS jack on the receiver supports a stereo audio output recording to your compatible camera, PC, or smartphone. Use the 3.5mm jack on the microphone to connect an external mic input. You can record up to 3 hours using the port on the receiver, while the microphone can record up to 13 hours with a separately available input device.
An integrated dial on the microphone switches the 3.5mm TRS jack from an external microphone input to a headphone jack when utilizing the USB-C connection to record. This allows for real-time monitoring of the audio signal and the ability to better control your volume with the onboard volume dial.
Multiple Mounting Solutions
The included desktop stand can be rotated 360° for optimal positioning. It can be easily attached or detached from the microphone. A 1/4"-20 thread at the bottom of the microphone can connect it to a tripod or boom arm.
Bluetooth Wireless Communication
The units communicate with one another via Bluetooth 5.3 low-energy LC3plus codec from up to 492' away. The Bluetooth LC3plus codec ensures low power consumption and low latency while maintaining high sound quality.
