The stacked sensor architecture maximizes readout speed, enabling advanced exposure and color algorithms to render natural skin tones, foliage, and skies with smooth gradations. Delivering accurate exposure in a wide range of challenging environments, Sony's latest AE algorithm detects and exposes for faces hidden in deep shadow or illuminated by bright sunlight. The RX10 V offers a standard sensitivity range of ISO 100 to 12800, which is expandable down to ISO 64 for stills.

UHD 4K Video Capture

Combining out-of-the-box video quality with postproduction flexibility, the RX10 V captures uncropped UHD 4K video up to 60 fps with multiple color profile options and additional high-speed recording modes.

AI-Powered Autofocus & Tracking

Driven by its dedicated deep-learning AI unit, the Real-Time Recognition AF system leverages up to 60 autofocus and auto-exposure calculations per second to allow effortless subject tracking of humans, animals, and vehicles. Additionally, AI-powered Auto Framing automatically crops and adjusts image composition to keep talent centered during video capture, even when the camera is stationary.

High-Speed Stills & Macro Performance

Capture action-packed frames with confidence using continuous blackout-free burst shooting at speeds up to 30 fps with full AF/AE tracking. To manage storage space and streamline your workflow, a custom button can be assigned to the Continuous Shooting Speed Boost function. This lets you temporarily change burst rates (choosing between 30, 15, 10, or 5 fps) right in the middle of shooting to capture only the decisive moment. The RX10 V also doubles as a powerful macro tool, offering excellent close-up capabilities at both ends of its focal range, with 1.18" close focus and 0.42x magnification at 24mm, and 28.3" close focus and 0.49x magnification at 600mm for tight framing and stunning detail.
