Tamron 16-50mm F2.8 A – Fast Standard Zoom for APS-C Mirrorless
The Tamron 16-50mm F2.8 A (Model B091) is a constant-aperture standard zoom built for APS-C mirrorless shooters who want one lens that does it all. Covering a full-frame equivalent of 24-75mm (25.6-80mm on Canon RF), it moves easily from wide landscapes, architecture and group shots to everyday portraits and street photography, without slowing down at the long end.
A fast F2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range gives you soft, natural background blur and the extra light you need for handheld shooting indoors or after sunset. At about 3.2 inches long and 10.8 oz, with a compact 55mm filter thread, it's small enough to stay on your camera all day. That makes it a strong everyday carry lens and an easy upgrade from a kit zoom.
Tamron's VXD linear motor delivers fast, precise and quiet autofocus that keeps up with kids, pets and other unpredictable subjects, and it works well for video too. Focus as close as 6 inches at the wide end for detail shots and close-up work. Moisture-resistant construction and a fluorine-coated front element add protection when you're shooting outdoors.
