The Halo 60x is a practical lighting solution for content creators and videographers looking for a portable and versatile bi-color light without sacrificing quality. The lighting adjustments can be made onboard with an intuitive TFT screen that has a simplified colored menu or wirelessly from a distance of up to 262' using your smartphone and the amaran app—the highlight is the one-tap NFC capability. Different from the previous 60x S, the Halo 60x power options are expanded to AC power, USB-C PD sources, and the optional amaran Peak series.

Without Complexity

Experience 3270 lux from 3.3' at 6500K, and a wider beam angle for more uniform and diffused output without hotspots. The light can be adjustable from a 2700 to 6500K color temperature range for tungsten or daylight options, offering 0-100% stepless brightness adjustments. Control of the Halo 60x is available on the fixture itself, via Bluetooth, or with an optional DMX adapter. Onboard control was simplified with separate brightness and color temperature knobs for quick, uncomplicated operation.

Maximum Control

For wireless app control with built-in NFC, you can pair the Halo 60x or multiple lights in the Halo series using the amaran app even before turning it on. More advanced users can opt for a separately available USB-C to 5-pin DMX in and out adapter that gives the Halo 60x wired DMX control capability for integration into industry-standard consoles and software for cues, multi-light looks, and repeatable scenes.

Detailed Color Fidelity System

Impressive ratings of CRI 96, TLCI 97, SSI 84 and 74, and TM-30 94 and 102 are your assurance of a high degree of accuracy in color reproduction at all times. The advanced spectral quality of the Halo 60x will ensure accurate skin tone reproduction for your videos. These ratings reflect cleaner warm-to-cool white light, true skin tones, and highly accurate colors that stay consistent on camera and to the eye.

Your Choices

Follow your creative impulses with the unit's nine lighting effects, which include paparazzi, fireworks, lightning, faulty bulb, TV, pulsing, strobe, explosion, and fire. Not only creative and versatile, the Halo 60x is able to stay cool thanks to its active cooling system. The light is quiet enough for video work at 28 dBA (in smart mode) with the choice of silent, smart, and high fan modes. Despite its small body, optimized cooling keeps it quiet for sound-sensitive environments.

Wide Compatibility

On the face of the unit is a reinforced full-size Bowens mount that is compatible with an optional mini reflector, mini Fresnel, and a wide array of Bowens mount modifiers. amaran also includes a 1/4"-20 to baby pin adapter with integrated tilting bracket and an umbrella holder, so you get great compatibility with optional umbrellas and stands. amaran kept the Halo 60x ultra-compact at 5.2 x 4.7 x 2.2" yet widely compatible thanks to its full Bowens mount versatility.

Travel-Ready Options

For maximum flexibility, the Halo 60x can also run on the separately available amaran Peak series via USB-C PD. This is possible using the optional Ace E-lock adapter and amaran Peak or the Peak 75 portable battery units. The optional amaran Peak enables 60 minutes, while the Peak 75 provides 52 minutes of runtime. Both at 100% output.
