Sigma 50-120mm f/2.8 DC OS Contemporary Lens for Sony E

Sigma 50-120mm F2.8 DC OS | Contemporary

Bring your subjects closer without weighing down your camera bag. The Sigma 50-120mm F2.8 DC OS | Contemporary combines a versatile APS-C telephoto zoom range with a constant F2.8 aperture, high-performance optics, and optical image stabilization in a compact, lightweight design. With an approximately 75-180mm full-frame-equivalent field of view, it is ideal for portraits, detailed product shots, and creative video.

Compact Design, Powerful Performance

Measuring just 99mm long and weighing approximately 390g, this lens delivers telephoto reach in an easy-to-carry package. Its constant F2.8 aperture provides consistent light-gathering performance throughout the zoom range, while helping you create soft backgrounds that make your subject stand out.

High-Quality Optics

An optical design featuring one FLD glass element, three SLD glass elements, and four aspherical elements helps correct optical aberrations and maintain high contrast from the center of the frame to the edges. Telephoto compression and generous background blur offer expressive options for portraiture and product photography.

Built for Stills and Video

An HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) motor delivers high-speed autofocus, while the OS2 image stabilization algorithm provides up to 6.5 stops of optical stabilization at the wide end and 4.5 stops at the telephoto end. The optical design also minimizes focus breathing, reducing changes in framing during focus transitions for more natural video footage.

Simple Controls and Outdoor Protection

A streamlined exterior omits dedicated focus mode and OS switches for a minimal control layout. A dust- and splash-resistant structure and a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element help protect the lens during outdoor use.
