Perfect for portraiture, the Sigma 90mm f/2.8 DG Contemporary Lens is an especially compact mid-telephoto prime offering a selective field of view and modest maximum aperture that's an ideal combination for headshots, group shots, close-up shots, and compressed landscapes while remaining nimble enough for everyday shooting.

The 90mm focal length is a classic narrow field of view that flatters portrait subjects and the f/2.8 maximum aperture is bright enough for depth of field control and working in available lighting without adding unwanted weight and size to the lens design. Alternatively, the compact 90mm is also a beneficial lens for landscape shooters looking to make more condensed and focused compositions and highlight specific subjects from a distance.

Contemporary Line lens features a compact design that measures approximately 2.5 x 2.4" and a weight of just over 10 oz, making it portable enough for everyday shooting needs without compromising on optics or speed.
Internal focusing design pairs with a stepping AF motor for responsive and fast focusing performance that's suitable for both stills and video applications.

Optical design includes five SLD elements and one aspherical elements, to optimize sharpness and limit aberrations, and a Super Multi-Layer Coating that controls flare and reflections.
Rounded 9-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality when employing selective focus techniques.
